ClearCorrect in

Achieving straighter teeth and a more pleasing smile is an important goal for many patients. But having to go through traditional orthodontic treatment and wear metal braces can be a major inconvenience and force a person to make many changes to their usual lifestyle. Fortunately, many orthodontic issues can be addressed by wearing ClearCorrect invisible aligners. With their general ease of use and overall effectiveness, ClearCorrect aligners represent an ideal solution for many patients who are in need of orthodontic treatment.

ClearCorrect treatment involves wearing a continuous series of tightly fitted custom clear aligners over the teeth. The patient is instructed to wear the aligners at all times, except for when they are eating food or drinking anything other than water. The current aligner is replaced with a new one about every two weeks until the teeth reach the desired positioning. The aligners are custom-made using impressions that are taken of the patient’s own teeth. As a result, no two sets of ClearCorrect aligners are exactly alike, and each set will provide the best possible results for the individual patient.

Some of the conditions that can be treated using ClearCorrect aligners include:

  • Mild to moderate spacing issues
  • Overbites and underbites
  • Slightly crooked and rotated teeth

Each time a new aligner is applied, it will feel very tightly fitted at first. But the aligner should gradually begin to feel looser in the coming days. This is a good sign, as it means the teeth are adjusting in position. Eventually, the treatment will be complete, and the patient will no longer have to use ClearCorrect. Once treatment is complete, we will recommend a retainer in order to keep their teeth from reverting to their prior positioning.

ClearCorrect treatment offers many advantages over metal braces. For one, they are transparent. This makes them almost impossible for others to notice. ClearCorrect aligners can be taken out by the patient at any time, so a patient can eat and drink whatever they would like while receiving treatment. This also means that the patient will not need to make any significant changes to their brushing and flossing habits. And since ClearCorrect aligners do not present the same injury risks as metal braces, they are particularly ideal for athletes who play contact sports.

I can't say enough how grateful to have Dr. McClean as my dentist. She makes visiting the dentist a pleasurable experience. She is honest, has integrity and has a very open personality/disposition. My kids and I enjoy going. I may have a future dentist as my daughter watched and inquired about how Dr. McClean cleaned her brother's teeth. Dr. McClean was very patient and answered all of my daughter's questions. Again, Dr. McClean is an awesome dentist! 😊 😍 πŸ‘
